Sorry for the Off-Topic, but Anyone Mixing Poker with Virtual Betting Systems?

Hey everyone, apologies for veering off the usual poker talk here. I know this thread’s already a bit of a detour, but I couldn’t resist jumping in since I’ve been experimenting with something that feels like it’s in the same gambling universe as poker. Lately, I’ve been messing around with combining poker sessions with some multi-system betting approaches, specifically on virtual sports, and I’m curious if anyone else has tried blending these worlds.
I’m usually all about grinding online poker—mostly low-stakes MTTs and the occasional cash game when I’m feeling sharp. But a few months ago, I started dipping my toes into virtual betting, like simulated races and games, because it’s always running, and I can play around with it while waiting for decent hands or during a tournament break. The thing is, I’m not just throwing random bets out there. I’ve been layering a few systems I’ve picked up over time, like a modified Martingale for safer recovery and a flat-betting approach to keep things steady. I also track patterns in the virtual outcomes, even though I know it’s all RNG, just to feel like I’m making sense of it.
What’s been wild is how much it’s starting to feel like poker in a weird way. You’re reading odds, managing a bankroll, and trying to stay disciplined while the action’s fast. I’ve even caught myself treating virtual betting sessions like a poker table, where I’m tilting if I chase losses too hard. My setup now is to run a poker client on one screen and a virtual sports platform on another, flipping between them when I’m card-dead or out of a tourney early. I’m not saying it’s a goldmine, but it’s kept me engaged and honestly helped me stay patient during rough poker stretches.
I’m really sorry again for the off-topic ramble. I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else here has tried mixing poker with something like this, maybe using betting systems to spice up the downtime? Or am I just overcomplicating things and should stick to grinding hands? Would love to hear your thoughts, even if it’s just to tell me I’m nuts for trying this.
