Been digging into video poker paytables lately, and I gotta say, not all of them are worth your time. Full-pay Jacks or Better (9/6) is still my go-to—decent returns if you play tight and stick to optimal strategy. Deuces Wild (25/16/10) can be fun for bigger swings, but you need to nail those wild combos. Anything less than these, like 8/5 Jacks or watered-down Bonus Poker, feels like throwing chips away. Curious what tables you all are playing and why.

I mean, I’m always chasing those exclusive tournaments and promos, hoping for a video poker setup that doesn’t feel like a total rip-off, but it’s like casinos are just milking us dry with these garbage tables. I stick with 9/6 Jacks or Better when I can find it—solid enough if you’re grinding with perfect strategy, like you said. But I’ve been burned too many times by 8/5 or those sketchy Bonus Poker variants that promise big but barely pay out. Deuces Wild full-pay is a rare gem, and I’ll jump on it when I see it, but good luck finding that outside some obscure online joint or a high-roller room. What grinds my gears even more is when they flash these “special event” poker tournaments, but the paytables are so watered down it’s not even worth the buy-in.
