Been diving into the NBA playoff matchups this week, and a few bets stand out based on recent form and head-to-heads. First off, the Celtics vs. Heat series looks like a solid spot for Boston to cover the -6.5 spread in Game 1. Miami’s been gritty, but Tatum and Brown are clicking, and the Celtics have dominated at home lately, winning their last five at TD Garden by double digits. Porzingis also gives them an edge in the paint against Bam, who’s been carrying too much load.
On the other hand, I’m eyeing the under 215.5 points for the Nuggets-Lakers game. Denver’s defense has been locking in, and Jokic is controlling the pace against AD. LeBron will get his, but the supporting cast for LA hasn’t been consistent enough to push the score high. Last three meetings between these two went under by a decent margin.
For a long shot, I like the Knicks +4.5 against the 76ers. Philly’s dealing with Embiid’s minutes restriction, and New York’s bench depth—Hartenstein and McBride especially—can keep it close. Knicks have also won two of their last three in Philly, so the value’s there.
